Further expansion for Aviance in India
Çelebi Ground Handling took over the management of the current cargo warehouse in Indra Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India on 25 November 2009. Çelebi will develop, modernize, finance and operate the terminal for 25 years according to the contract signed with Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL). Delhi Airport, currently the second biggest cargo hub in India handled 430,000 tons of cargo last year and grows almost % 10 each year, since 2001. The cargo traffic is expected to reach 1,000,000 tons within 10 years.

In another happy news from Delhi, Çelebi Ground Handling has been awarded ground handling license in Indra Gandhi International Airport. The start up of operations in Delhi is expected in April 2010. This will allow Çelebi to offer integrated services for its customers both in Mumbai and Delhi, the two biggest airports in India and will affirm Çelebi`s presence in one of the fastest growing economies in the globe.
